There were 3 things that I had going against me when I first met Georg. 1, I was English, 2 I was a soldier, and 3, I was 10 years older than his youngest daughter, who I was seeing at the time. None of this actually mattered to Georg, and eventually he gladly gave his daughter in marriage to me for a bottle of Whiskey! Georg loved his family, he loved his whiskey and he loved Ireland, not necessarily in that order! The true mark of a man is the loss he leaves when he moves on, Georg will be missed, but he leaves behind him a legacy of friends and family, and as long as we remember him, then Georg will not be forgotten. I'm raising my glass of Bushmills, here's to you Georg, 'Sláinte'.
